Per previous post, Sophie also wanted to go see the animals at the zoo. And her behavior on Sunday was WONDERFUL, so how could we not treat her to a trip to the zoo? When Brian asked her what she wanted to see at the zoo on the list was the Farmer in the Dell, the rat who took the cheese, dog, cow, horse, and sheep.
Later the list expanded to elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, and the itsy-bitsy spider.
We saw everything on her list except the Farmer in the Dell, the rat who took the cheese, and the itsy-bitsy spider. But we saw a lot more animals instead and she didn't seem too disappointed.
In fact she had a wonderful time, and even after the zoo, her behavior continued to be wonderful mature and grown up. If you asked her what her favorite animal was, she and I both agreed it was the tiger.
*Note- The early afternoon was kinda cold and so she was pretty insistent on wearing her hat, which she said it made her "cute". Later as the weather warmed up, she removed the hat and traded it in for some shades.*
We finally got some nice weather this weekend and I couldn't bear not doing something outside with Sophie. When I asked her if she'd like to go to the gardens and see flowers or go to the zoo and see animals... she said she wanted both. At first I wasn't sure she'd get to go to either, since Saturday wasn't a great day in terms of behavior. But after her nap she behaved much better, and so we loaded up in the car and spent the late afternoon at Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth.
It was kinda chilly so we didn't stay very long, but it was a nice trip.
